After 16 months of extensive renovations, the Rome Clock Tower has been restored and unveiled at a ribbon-cutting on November 18. A large crowd gathered to hear messages from Joe Smith, Rome City Clerk, who oversaw the project for the city, and Greg Jacobs of Landmark Preservation, whose team ensured the renovations remained historically accurate while maintaining the structure’s stability. The restoration highlights Rome’s commitment to preserving the stories — and structures — that define the city.
