Spotlight On Service

City of Rome Employees

Rome runs on dedicated city employees who care about their community and the people they serve. This month, we highlight three team members whose commitment and care keep our city moving forward.

Samantha Bishop

Samantha ‘Sam’ Bishop

Samantha joined the City of Rome staff in August 2025 and serves as the Senior Planner in the joint Rome–Floyd Planning Department. “I love my co-workers; the people I work with are absolutely incredible. I enjoy coming to work and don’t dread a day,” Bishop said. Before joining the city team, she served as the Senior Community and Economic Development Officer at the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission. Originally from Louisiana, she has lived in the Rome area since 1996.

Nathan Campbell

Nathan is the Environmental Inspector for the joint Rome–Floyd Building Inspection Office. “I enjoy being outside, working with dirt,” Campbell said. With more than twelve years of experience in the field, he says one of the best parts of his role is that no two days are the same. He believes his work plays an essential part in keeping community-critical projects moving safely and efficiently.

Molly Majestic

Molly Majestic

Molly has worked in Rome’s Community Development office for three and a half years. Before joining the city staff, she was employed by the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority. Majestic now serves as the Housing Program Manager and leads the city’s relatively new Homeless Initiative. “Every day is different, and I enjoy the collaborative approach to everything I do,” Majestic said. “I’m getting calls from folks, making calls for folks, trying my best to work out each situation and get the problem solved.”
